Two expressions of humanity that are not often banded together.

This is a mistake. A mistake that our schools are in a position to address.

How?

Laughter comes readily when a person, child or adult, is confident in themselves and their companions. When they have an unspoken sense of security, of safety, of wellbeing.

And with this sense of well-being comes an openness to the new, to the fascinating and yes, to the complex.

And after all, that is what education is all about.

To be able to laugh is to be ready to learn.
